December 4th is National Cookie Day, and at Chai Kona, we’re celebrating the sweetest way we know how—by baking fresh, homemade cookies right here in our kitchen and sharing them with the community we love.

There’s something special about a cookie baked in-house. It’s warm, comforting, and made with intention… kind of like community itself. At Chai Kona, we don’t bring in pre-made pastries or quick shortcuts. We bake with care, tradition, and a whole lot of joy — because we want every cup and every bite to feel like a little moment of home.

But National Cookie Day isn’t just about treats. It’s about connection. A cookie is often the start of a conversation:

• A neighbor stopping in to say hello

• A student taking a study break

• A parent and kid sharing a sweet moment

• Old friends catching up over chai and something warm from the oven

In our short time here on Union Square, we’ve already watched strangers become regulars and regulars become friends. And honestly? That’s the best part of the job.

So today, we want to say thank you.

💙Thank you for showing up.

💙Thank you for embracing a small, local chai bar with big dreams.

💙Thank you for letting us be a little part of your day — whether it’s a morning pick-me-up, a weekend ritual, or a place to breathe during a busy afternoon.

To celebrate National Cookie Day, we’ve got fresh-baked in-house cookies ready for you — soft, fragrant, and made to pair perfectly with your favorite chai, lassi, or tea. If you’ve never tried cookies with chai… well, today is the perfect day to fix that.

Stop by, grab a cookie, share a smile, and help us continue building the kind of community we all want to live in — warm, welcoming, connected, and a little sweeter than yesterday.

Happy National Cookie Day, Hickory. We’re grateful for you. 🤎
